Chapter 9 // Halo

 Today was the first meeting of this script, we were making a movie in the mist of the pandemic was harder than I thought. I wanted to know more about my cast mates, unaware that one of my good friends was going to be a part of this. Was there something going through his mind? I had to find out what was happening in his personal life to make him cry in front of me. 

"Hey." I said to him. "Lets talk." 

"About what?" He cleared his eyes. 

"You crying in front of me, you crying in general, which by the way never happened." 

"Well lets just say my now soon to be ex wife cheated on me so I am divorcing her ass."

"I can't believe she would do that to you."

"I know." He said sighing. 

I hugged him so tightly, his arms wrapped around me and his eyes were all on me. 

"Thank you." He said whispering in my ear. 

"Always." I said smiling. 

Everyone came in, I wondered if Ben would be a perfect fit in this. I adored Adam but right now his head is not here. After the bagels and a lot of drinks had came to fuel us up for this reading, Adam had suddenly gotten up and left. I sighed. 

"Why is he leaving?" I asked Jackson.

"He is not in his right mind. His head is not here, I can pretty sure I can find his replacement tomorrow."

"No. I need to talk to him and see if he can still do this first."

"Lets call it a day and we can come back when we have a lead actor." Jackson said.

I ran after Adam , I ran into his arms. 

"You can lean on me."

"Well what you don't know and I have known you for a long time, My now ex wife, has been fucking Ben."

"Oh my god, fucking hell, I knew this would happen to me again."

"Well I just didn't want you going back to him and thinking everything is perfect." 

I hugged him for a while, while my hands were in his hands, I looked deep into his eyes. 

"You know, I say we go for some dinner." He said. 

"Is anything open?"

"I will figure it out. You still hate sushi right?"

"How did you know?"

"I remember the first time I met you with Ben and we took you to dinner, you said no sushi. Ben wanted Sushi so we decided on Chinese."

"You remember that?"

"Oh my god yes, I know a lot more than you realize. We were good friends for a bit then Ben made you do things I wanted to kill him for."

"Lets go back and talk to the director." 

"You want me to stay?"

"Yeah, you can move on and it can be by starting with this movie with me."

"Okay for you anything." He said as we met up with the director and he agreed to give him another shot. 

"Lets go celebrate." I said as we headed out. 

Dany headed back to Florida to be with Simone while my security team had stepped up. We ended up getting wine and Chinese and headed back to my apartment. 

"Wow, this is so you." He said smiling. 

"Hey!" I looked at him.

"That is a huge compliment too." He said. 

"Well what can I say, the extra me in the world."

"Oh god, that is exactly what we need." 

I laughed and put the stuff down. I sat down next to him as we ate and drank. We got wine and alcohol. 

"You're crazy." He said. 

"Well takes one to know one, plus you know me." I danced around. 

He grinned as we began to play board games. I knew what he needed was to let loose. What I didn't know was how to do that without ruining our friendship. 

"I was anticipating these circumstances." He said.

"So we should get some rest." I said getting up. 

"Okay I will take the couch."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, why not?"He looked at me.

"Only if you're sure." He said. 

"I will stand guard." He hugged me. 

"Good night Adam." 

"Good night." 

I laid there thinking about Adam. I walked out to the living room.

"Hey." He said. 

"Hey, come into my room and sleep."

"Why?"

"Because I would feel safer." He nodded and headed to the bedroom with me. 

He laid down with me in his arms as he kissed me so deeply. 

"I don't want to be some rebound bitch." I said to him.

"You never were." He said kissing me. "Even the first time we had sex a while ago. You could never be."

I got onto him and started to work him over. 

"Fuck me." He grunted as I giggled. 

He flipped me over and just went to town on me. His hands all over me and into my hands as he just made love to me, like a real man. 

"Wow." He said. 

"Holy fuck." I said smiling at him. 

"You were beyond amazing. I can't even begin to tell you how good you are."

"Me?" I giggled while cuddling with him."You made me quiver, no one has ever done that before."

"I am one of a kind." He said as we laughed. 

I fell asleep in his arms, hopefully he was okay with me being here next to him. That next morning, I had woken up with the side empty and the smell of Bacon filling up the apartment. I got up and put on his over sized t-shirt and my panties. 

"Good morning beautiful." He said smiling. 

"You're awfully chipper this morning handsome." 

I hugged him and kissed his exposed shoulder. After we ate some breakfast, we headed to the reading. He looked much better today rather than yesterday.

Mel's POV:

I had wondered where my sister was, she hasn't contacted me in days and with Dany here I hoped that she was being safe.  I was training in LA again, especially since Tama and the boys were heading to Japan to head to back to work finally, I had felt so alone. I packed up and headed to LA to see my sister and to train to head back into the ring with Tama. He felt so bad being away from me, but now its more amazing with him the second time around. I felt happy to have him back, the only love of my life who never lied to me and always cared about me. I told him yes, finally and I had to tell her. I had headed off the airport with my masks and my belongings. Ryan was there at the airport trying to find her. 

"LC, Ryan is here looking for you. I just want to send a warning to you, be careful."

"Okay love you sis. Thank you. TTYL." She replied back. "PS. I am in LA with lots of security team.." 

"Oh my god, that's good. I think you're better off staying there for a while. I hope you are being safe and I love you." 

"Love you too, gotta go now. I need to finish this script." 

Ryan hadn't realize that she was happier without him, but now he will realize she was about to move on with someone hotter and more healthier for her. I was going to surprise her by staying with her, but then they may not allow it due to COVID, but I had to see her. 

"Hey, thank you for coming with me Leo." I said. 

"After the threats Ryan had made at you and LC, no way I would allow you to go alone, plus I could use the extra training with you. I think it works out this way and Tama would throw me off the fucking bridge if I had allowed you to go by yourself."

"Thanks , I think?" I laughed. 

After boarding the aircraft , first class had been both good to Leo and I. We sat down and they took our drink orders. The plane wasn't as busy as it usually is, I do like the emptiness of this plane. 

"So are we heading to LC's apartment?"

"Yeah, I hoped we can surprise her, but at this point she has like radar in the back of her head."

"She would do some kick ass things in the ring if she was still wrestling."

"I mean I was hoping she would come back, but WWE really disappointed her and she wasn't doing that again."

"Good point."He said. "Do you think she will sign my picture of her?"

"LEO. Really?"

"What?"

"She is your sister in law." I shook my head. "You think this will be the only time you see her?"

"Oh yeah."

"You like her don't you."

"No. Well yeah I guess her acting and she is awesome."

"Well sorry bud, I don't think you're her type."

"You don't know." 

"Well, she is very picky." 

"You were too." I laughed at his comment. 

Once we were in the air, we had gotten our devices out and relaxed. Leo was my brother, even before I would marry Tama. He was the reason why we found out that it was Jason who not only had LC drugged, but also made a mess of her and my life. After about 4 hours, we were preparing to land. I was making it known to the company that I tested negative and I was planning to stay with LC. They were okay with it.

 "So you think she won't be mad at the fact we are just showing up?" Leo asked me.

"No, she won't be." I laughed.

"Okay if you say so." I shook my head and rolled my eyes at his comment.

After we headed out of LAX, we had been screened and tested for COVID and had to show proof that we were negative within the last week. Leo grabbed my bag and his bag as we headed into a car provided by NJPW. It was almost about another 30 minutes when we pulled up to her apartment, the security team knew we were coming. As we entered the apartment, we heard moans coming from her bedroom. I knew she had someone here, I was going to get the shock of my life.

Chapter 8 // Why is everything so heavy? I'm holding on.

I had decided that moving back to Orlando and in with my niece Simone was the best thing. I had gotten fired from the New Amsterdam show , which made me realize that I had to live my own life and not care about finding love at the moment. I received flowers by someone unexpected. I wondered who they were from? 

"Everything okay Simone?"

"Yeah, just can't move my knee too well." 

"You just had surgery." I said shaking my head.

"I know, thank you for being here."

"I love you, you're family." I said. 

"Are you okay? I know you miss Ben."

"I mean I loved him, I miss him because he was the first guy I truly think that was good and he didn't break my heart because a friend needed him, I just wished he wasn't going off and spending every minute with her and it wasn't me so I ran."

"You have to stop running. Talk to him, obviously Ryan wasn't the man for you, he got you fired right after having sex with you. I legit think he wasn't a man , but Ben is."

"You think so?"

"I know, trust me." 

"There was so many times I had wanted to call him. Maybe we weren't meant to be." Tears streamed down my eyes as Simone had hugged me.

I nodded as I prepared for my next movie role. Everything was happening so quickly, with LA getting back to normal, the temps had changed and it was almost the fall season. I was playing a billionaire CEO Alexis Monroe, someone who is kick ass and someone who doesn't need saving until she gets kidnapped. I have no idea who else was going to be in the movie, but right now I have never been more excited to get back to work. 

"You got everything?" Dany said appearing out of no where.

"Shit, you scared the hell out of me." I said laughing.

"I am so glad you live here with Simone, I think its good for you both to relax. She loves you so much and she thinks so highly of you."

"Trust me, I would never let anything happen to her." 

"You're an amazing Aunt to her. I really appreciate it."

"I also appreciate you coming with me."

I walked around the room grabbing it all, that was until Mel busted through the door. Not only did we find out who was behind these attacks, Ben was trying to warn me about it too. Mel had lost her baby, and now it seems all the pieces were starting to connect. 

"Hey, don't hang up." 

"Why shouldn't I ?"

"Just listen please, Jason was behind everything, framing you, drugging me and controlling Mel."

"Is she okay?"

"No, she lost the baby, her marriage was faked, she is a mess."

"How could he have done this?"

"Because he isn't a good man. He was still married to Lisa while being married to Mel. Mel's marriage was voided and faked to get at you."

"Why would he want to get at me?"

"No idea." Mel cried as I did something that was a little out of the ordinary. 

I went downstairs and headed to the living room. I called Tama and told him to get his stupid ass over here for Mel. 

"Why would she want me to come?"

"Because she still loves you and no matter what, she needs you right now more than anything."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, look what he did to us?"

"I know, I can't believe he would do such a thing. I hope he gets his ass crumbled."

"That ugly looking monkey ass, who legit smells like he came through a car wash." 

"I had a gut feeling he would stoop this low."

"Well I think he was jealous of you Tama."

"Why?"

"Because he wanted to control Mel and you had her. So he took her from you and played all these games trying to frame you so he can come out on top."

"That is bullshit. I will be right over." He said. 

I told him to come through the gates, I would have them opened. I was heading to LA, Nia had came back home and stayed with Simone while she recovers as well as a few other WWE superstars. 

"Mel!" I screamed upstairs. "Come down here please!" 

She came down here and immediately latched onto Tama. I made sure she was okay now, but as for me I had no Ben and I was breaking down. 

"Ready?"

"Yeah." 

I grabbed my suitcases, hugged Tama and Mel. Simone had been upstairs and I wanted to make sure she was all set. Mel and Tama were staying a few more days with her. 

"Ready?" Dany asked.

"Yeah, I think so." 

"We have to go." I grabbed the bags and headed out. 

"I love you sis." She said hugging me. 

We got into the SUV, the driver had gone off to the airport. 

"You okay?" She asked me.

"Yeah."

"I know you will see him soon. Just trust me on this one."

"Why do men throw me away?"

"You were yourself around him? You weren't pretending around him like you were with Ryan?" 

"I could sit in pajamas and he wouldn't care. I could go out in jeans and a sweatshirt and he wouldn't order me to get dressed." 

After going through the airport, we barely made our plane to LA. Thankfully our temps checked out and we were cleared to enter the plane with our masks of course. I made sure I had my gloves on too to make sure I wasn't touching anything. 

"Are you happy when you were with Ben?" 

"Yes definitely." 

"Were you you with him?" 

"Definitely." I said. 

"First, here is a good script I think you would love." 

"Okay." I said. 

I read over the script and saw that this part was definitely me. 

"I need this part, I also need Ben."

"Well the good news is I can get you both. Just promise me you will do this part."

"Where do I sign up?"

"That's my girl." She said smiling, 

After thoroughly looking through this script, I wanted this part more than anything. I was going to get it.

"I contacted the director in the movie and he is so excited to have you on, he is a huge fan of yours and really hopes you shine in this. His kids and wife are looking forward to meeting you." 

"Oh good I hope he is fair and will treat me better than the other directors I have had in the past, not saying the one in England was bad, he was awesome, but some of the other directors were terrible to work with."

"Oh no, I have known this man for years."

"Works for me." I smiled. 

After a while, we were getting ready to land. Finally LA , a place that had some Ben memories.  20 minutes later, we headed to the hotel, thankfully tomorrow was the meeting with the director and the cast for this movie. I wondered if I ever would see Ben, but would I sooner than later?

 

Chapter 7 // Only you can save me

I woke up that next morning in a random bed. Not even sure what was going on or even where I was? I saw a note , telling me to drink some water and vitamins. Felt so off and I took it.

"Hey, you're awake."

"Hi." I sighed. "What happened last night?"

"You were drunk, never do that again to me." I nodded. "If you were my woman, you couldn't sit down for a month."

I looked at him as he giggled. He made me breakfast and came back upstairs.

"Eat." He said.

"Why didn't you take me back to my house?"

"Because I was closer."

"Did we?" I asked him.

"No, Necrophilia is not my thing."

"Well at least I can breathe easier."

I had eaten the food he cooked for me, I wanted to take a shower as my dress was missing.

"Where are my clothes?"

"You had throw up on them so if you want to use my oversized pants and shirts, I won't argue on that one"

"I would be honored to wear your clothes."

I used the spare toothbrush to brush my teeth.

I kissed him, I couldn't hold back any longer as he passionately kissed me back. I pushed him onto the bed as he got his clothes off.

"Are you sure?"

"I have never been so sure in my life." He made me weak in the knees and grabbed his condoms from the drawer.

"To be on the safe side." He said as I giggled.

He laid down as I put the condom on, I got up and wanted to handcuff him, but he pulled me back onto him.

"I want to make love to that perfect body."

I got up carefully and headed out of the bath. He handed me some clothes and we got started to work. I had a part where I helped people during recovery from surgery and other parts of the Hospital.

"I wanted to thank you."

"For what?"

"For coming to get me last night. Not saying I told you so and not giving me the you could have been hurt thing."

"No I would never."

He kissed my cheek and got up.

"Man, after that breakfast, I am famished."

"You know I had the same thought?"

"I make a mean grilled cheese."

"Grilled cheese with bacon , soup and some water is perfect."

"Coming up my dear." He said.

After lunch we had a lengthy talk about what will happen when or if we decide to end things or one of us isn't on the show anymore.

Mel's POV:

I walked around the house, my acting career took off and Jason was excited. Our vacation times had been perfect, I would do a movie and he wouldn't have anything so he came with me. When I finished a movie, I would go with him. It was perfect. LC had been at Ryan's house for the day after everything that happened to her last night, I was aware of everything and how Ryan actually saved her.  I haven't had the best relationships , but with Jason is different. I was a Momoa now and that was my only secret I had and I couldn't share with anyone, yet. I had ended up eloping with him, but that was going to be spoiled.

"Hey love."

"Hey babe, you okay?" He asked me.

"Yeah, I was thinking about how bad LC almost got last night when Jason Cork almost hurt her. Jason Cork is Tama's boyfriend."

"Seriously? How did we not know he sent him after her?"

"because he was smooth and he was horrible at the same time."

"I see why you barely talk about him."

"Right now, he tried to hurt my sister, now I plan to hurt him."

"How?"

"Letting Dany leak that I married you."

"Really? You're okay with this?"

"Yes. I think its time to show the world I love you and only want you."

"Then lets do it."

"It'll basically tear him apart and I honestly can't wait to see the man suffer."

I had asked Dany and she called some people. She had them leak the marriage license and the photos from the place, with him I knew he was going to start calling soon. LC, Dany,  and Dwayne are the only people who know about what we did.

"I am glad we did that." I said sitting on my husbands lap.

"Me too."

I kissed him as we decided to go upstairs and make love. Dany had been downstairs in the basement. The rain had begun even more, Jason kept me busy while I knew what LC and Ryan were doing.  They were going nuts about the marriage between Jason and I, I couldn't believe how amazing today was, but that was only the beginning with us. After a few hours, the rain let up and the news were buzzing over our marriage. Tama had been frantic over twitter asking me how I could do that and that I was a huge whore, Jason wasn't having any of that so Dany told me there was only one option to do, restraining order and a lawsuit for slander and defamation for my reputation. He forced my hand, now his actions caused him this trouble that he could have avoided, not including Jason Cork, the man he sent after to drug my sister, this bitch was going down with his dime sized dick.

"Hey, LC and Ryan are staying the night." Dany said as I giggled.

"How is she?"

"He is taking good care of her. Dwayne is pissed what Tama did and I hope to god he rings his neck."

"Oh he will." Someone had called me from a blocked number.

"I think Tama is calling you, he won't stop calling."

"Okay, time for a new number. I need a new unlisted number and phone anyways."

"I can get you and LC new numbers and phones, she lost hers anyways."

"Probably how Tama found it."

"Okay let me know when you two stop fucking and trying to have a baby long enough to let me know what carrier you want."

I laughed so hard at her comment.

"We should get up." Jason said.

"We should." I told her the carrier, the phones and all the good stuff.

She was going to give LC the other phone, Now Tama and his little fuck boy couldn't get to us. But that was just the beginning.

"Hey." I said smiling.

LC had come in smiling.

"You got fucked, so hard." I said giggling.

"Oh my god, he was intense, perfect, gentleman and so damn good."

"You were fucked so good that you can't even comprehend into words."

"Absolutely not. I couldn't walk , then he picked me up and carried me into a bath."

"Wow, talk about a hot gentleman. You two are so cute together its not even funny."

"We are not cute together, we are simply getting to know each other."

"Really? How is that going?" LC giggled.

"Uh sis?" I asked both LC and Dany?

"Yeah?"

"You and Dwayne bought XFL?"

"Yeah, it will make all of us rich and best thing? We bought it under Vince's nose."

Both LC and I laughed uncontrollably.  Dany had come down with some new phone numbers and someone from the office gave us the new I-phone 11 Pro.

"Thank you Dany." LC hugged her and smiled.

She immediately called Ryan and told him about the new number. Thankfully he picked up and I hoped Tama was no longer around for us to bug.

"So Jason Cork, Tama's good friend and business partner? Drugged an agent and is in jail." LC said laughing.

"You mean he tried to rape an undercover agent?"

"What a dick. Hopefully he gets Tama in trouble next." I laughed at LC's comment.

Ryan had came over and she told him about everything. LC tweeted something about Jason, part of Taylor Swift's song Look What You Made Do. It was satisfying just about. She read more lines with him while Dany had some business with our brother in the city. I wanted her to be okay, so we sent some bodyguards with her.

Chapter 6 // This is my fight song, take back my life song. Prove I'm alright song.

The month had flown by, I was focused on my line reading with Ryan and now I had to worry about throwing out the first pitch, I had hoped I remembered my softball skills and hoped it was enough. Joanna had been so supportive and Nick had helped me with my pitching game and lines when I needed help.

"Nervous?" Ryan asked me.

"For?"

"For throwing out the first pitch at the New York Yankee game."

"Hell yeah, I haven't thrown a pitch since my softball games in High School and now its happening again."

"I thought you'd be more of a Cheerleader." He said laughing.

"Well maybe you got it all wrong." I said.

"What happened?"

"I was young and right out of High School when I got into wrestling. No degree nothing, but I ended up taking classes online during the day before I had wrestling shows. After I got into acting, I never looked back on it. I fell out of love for it and after 3 bad relationships, I am afraid to take another leap."

"I heard about Ben."

"You and everyone else." I sighed. "I fell in love with him when I was vulnerable. After my last boyfriend Duke had beaten me up so badly I had questioned myself and everything about me."

 "I for one thought he wasn't right for you."

"Really? Do you know him?"

"I have heard about him, honestly I thought you could have done better. I think you deserve better and that was before I even met you."

I hugged him so tightly.

"So anyways, lets finish up so we can eat."

"Good idea." Dany said walking in.

After we finished our lines and lunch, he had left the house. I smiled ended up getting my pep back. I had a lot of events tomorrow, but for now I needed to get all the rest I can get.

"You okay?"

"I am so nervous."

"You are going to do so well tomorrow." She said.

I ended up making sure that Ryan would be there. I had to make sure he was there, along with Dany, Mel and the rest of my family.  I ran over some lines with Dany and she smiled.

"You got it!"

"I never realized how hard this was." I said sighing.

"Don't worry, You got this. They can always go through the lines with you , at least its not like soaps where you have to remember every single line."

"Yeah not sure if I could ever do that." I laughed.

After we ate some dinner and I decided to take a break tonight. Too much line reading isn't healthy. I decided to rest for the night, hopefully nothing was going to be bad tomorrow. Throwing out the first pitch in front of everyone, including my family. Mel had walked through the door nearly tackling me.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" I said tackling her to the ground.

"Aren't you going to let us in?" Dwayne and Jason said laughing.

"AHHH!" I hugged them both so hard.

"You okay?" He asked me.

"Yeah, how is Lauren?"

"Good, she is at home taking it easy."

"Okay." I said smiling .

I tried on dresses for the party tomorrow night. Mel and Jason were going to spend time together alone while Dwayne wanted to get some work done. He ended up staying the night at the hotel suite. That whole night had passed, from the moment I had put my head on the pillow I had zonked out.

"LC, its  almost 10 am, you have to get to the stadium!" Mel banged on the door.

"Shit, okay coming! I need to eat breakfast."

"Bacon and eggs are already working for you, shower get changed and hurry!" Jason said.

I got up so fast and started the shower, Not even drying my hair, I didn't care since I would have my cap on.

"Good work, fast timing sis." Mel said.

"Well I might look like shit, but at least I got sleep and a shower in." We laughed.

I ate my breakfast and it was the best. Dany had cleaned up for me while I finished my makeup.  


My day outfit:

I had to be there in two hours, which meant I had to make this fast.

"Thank you for the power boost Dany."

"You look awesome."

"Well, I had to support my favorite team." I said.

"Car is here LC!" Mel said while I put my lip gloss on.

We piled in the car, Dany finished the last dish and grabbed her bag.

"Ready?" I asked them.

"Nervous?" Ryan asked appearing out of nowhere.

"Holy fuck, where the hell did you come from?"

"I have been up front, you didn't notice."

"Well dammit, quit scaring me."

"I promise to stop doing it." He laughed.

I rolled my eyes and giggled. 

"I want to thank you guys for coming today, I really hope I do well."

"You will do awesome."

I nodded and breathed in and out. We pulled up as the fans were around the gates. The fans were excited and screaming so hard for all of us.Ryan and Jason stepped out first before helping us out of the limo. I got out as the fans cheered even harder.

"Thank you guys for the warm welcome. Hi!" I said waving at all of them .

There was a little girl about 3 or 4 trying not to get squashed.

"Excuse me." I said to them signaling the little girl over here with her parents.

"Hi." I bent down. "What is your name?"

"Andrea."

"Andrea, you're beautiful and sweet. I am LC."

I hugged her so tightly. I had Dany bring them in with us and as our personal guests. Her father had been sick recently and wanted to see a Yankee game for the first time before he gets worst.

"Can we do anything to help them?"

"No, its inoperable."

"Okay, well lets give them the best day of their lives."  She nodded as we grabbed them snacks, gear and everything else.

I was supposed to do the throwing out alone, I had asked them if they could let Amal do it as well.  I had walked Amal down with me and onto the field.

"How are you holding up?" I asked him.

"I can't believe this is really happening. I owe you so much."

"Well, I think you and I will have an amazing time."

 The crowd cheered as we walked onto the mound. I let him go first and he was in his glory. I clapped as I went next. I wound my arm up and threw it down the middle.

"Congrats." Aaron said to me. "You're beautiful by the way."

"Thank you. You're sexy as hell."

I smiled and headed back to sitting for the rest of the game. Ryan and I had sat next to each other.

"What is up with you and Ryan?"

"He is my coworker?"

"Nope, something more."

"Whatever you say." I looked at Mel and rolled my eyes.

A few hours had passed, I wanted to head back and relax before heading out to attend the party. I wasn't sure what to wear so I had someone send 3 dresses over.

My dress:

This was the perfect dress, I felt beautiful.

"You look gorgeous."

"Thank you."

"Call me if you need me." Ryan said,

"I wish you were going with me."

"I know, I have some lines to fix."

"Okay call me tomorrow."

He headed out. Was Mel right? Was there more to this with Ryan and I? I went to the party and promised myself I wouldn't get comfortable with any man for a while, or even now I couldn't get my heart broken again.

"Ready?" The driver asked.

"Yeah, I am ready."

I had gotten into the limo and headed inside. After 10 minutes or so, I walked in. I felt so out of place and I didn't want to be here. I grabbed a shot from the bar, one of the big donors for CC's charity had been eyeing me down.

"Hey , I am Jason."

"Hi, she is with me." Ben said.

"Why are you here Ben ? Why do you need to constantly get to me? Go away, I am dancing with Jason and maybe going home with him. Now fuck off and leave me alone."  I said as I walked right into Aaron.

"Is he bothering you?"

"Ben, my ex, has been stalking me since I left his cheating ass in LA."

"Out , Now." Aaron said throwing him out.

I walked with him and danced the night away. I felt like I was drunk so I called Ryan immediately.

"Hey baby, how are you doing ? Thank you so much for being so hot and handsome."

"Are you drunk?"

"Maybe. What's it to you." I said giggling.

"I am coming to get you. Stay right there." I sighed.

I walked out of the hotel and Jason came running after me. He tried to kiss me and I didn't want to do anything with him.

"She said no!" Ryan grabbed me and hugged me.

"I feel like I am going to faint."

"Now?"

He picked me up and placed me into his car.. That was the last thing I remembered.

Chapter 5 // At least I showed up, you showed me nothing at all but heartbreak.

I had the possibility of four shows, three in NYC and one in Chicago. After auditioning in Chicago, I had three more in NYC.  I packed up my things and headed back to NYC, but this time with more security. I walked out of the airport and now that the paps saw me with brown hair, I had wondered how my life was like now.

"LC, how are you doing after Ben Barnes cheated on you?" Dany ushered me into a gated community.

"So this is your new house."

"My what?"

"You are safer here than some penthouse on 23rd and somewhere. You have a car everywhere now because you are Dwayne's sister."

"Okay but why the house? I could have gotten the penthouse."

"Just consider this a gift from Dwayne. He will be here in a few days on a NYC trip and he wants to make sure you're safe."

"Okay fine. I swear, he is like this over protective brother who tells me that short shorts with heels are a hookers look."

"He isn't wrong though?" I laughed at her comment.

I had dialed Ben's number multiple times and wanted to scream at him, but I couldn't push it. I ended up throwing my phone in the trash and wanted a whole new thing. Mel, Dwayne, and Dany rallied for me, new look, new part in NYC as a doctor. I needed this.

"You okay?" Dany asked me handing me a new phone and number.

"I think so, when I get my life back on track." She smiled at me sitting down next to me.

 

"One thing I know about you, you thrive when the ships are coming in. You need to find that again. I secured you a spot with some appearances, the Yankee game you dreamed to go to? You're throwing out the first pitch and going to the  party for CC's charity event."

"When am I doing this?" I asked her.

"Next month. You need to be in the spotlight and this will be good for you and your career."

"Okay sounds good." I said.

"Good, you should talk to Joanna Swisher, Nick's wife? I think you should contact her, she had a bad life before she found Nick."

"Okay. Do you think she will take my calls?"

"Yeah, I told her , you'd call."

I did what Dany asked, I called Joanna. She was the most kindest person ever and gave me a lot of good advice. 

"So when you do go to this whole thing, I will finally meet you." Joanna said. "Plus I heard about Ben, he can stuff it up his own ass with a can of beans to fart it all out."

It must have been the first time I had laughed so hard in a while.

"Now that is the first time I heard that, I think its perfect." I said.

"Good, you have my number, you can call me whenever you need advice."

"Thank you Joanna, you're amazingly awesome and thank you for the laugh, it must be the first time I had a hearty laugh in a while."

"Well thank you, glad I could help." She said.  "You're in NYC now right?"

"Yeah, I have a part on a TV show in September."

"I think we should have lunch tomorrow."

"Oh sounds good to finally get out and be with some friends."

"Oh sweetheart, you are going to love being NYC now."

"Okay sounds good, text me the details and everything."

"Will see you tomorrow." She said

We said goodbye and hung up. I had to find out what to wear now so I face timed my sister.

"Melanie!" I screamed in frantic.

"Calm down, what is the matter?"

"I have a lunch with Joanna Garcia Swisher."

"Who?" I put my hands on my face.

"Nick Swisher's wife and the star of our favorite show Reba?"

"Oh my god, okay okay." She said screaming.

I pulled an outfit together as she gave me some ideas. It was casual , shorts, nice tank top and some heels. I had to look hot, something she can appreciate a good outfit.

"You got this." Mel said.

"First impressions are everything, but you're right." I said.

"Go get some sleep, you need the rest plus you know I will be there in spirit."

"Trust me, I know."

I got ready for bed, I needed the rest, but honestly my mind was crazy. I heard a car alarm that morning, the sun shined through my new curtains and the kitchen smelled like Bacon.

"You do realize I have a lunch date with Joanna right?"

"Yeah, I think you need a piece though."

"I will never turn down bacon for anything." I giggled. "Thank you for everything Dany."

"For?"

"For giving me all this and being with me when I know you have a billion things to do already."

She hugged me and continued to do what she does best.

"You know what I always tell Simone?"

"What?"

"Don't be afraid to take a chance at something , even if you feel like you're not ready, you took a chance at this whole part, its so different and you wanted it. You could have gone to the safe route in Chicago, but you wanted to stay here in NYC and explore this awesome role."

"I think its mainly you, you have given me choices and you give me the most amazing advice. You're my best friend and sister."

"I am always going to be around when you need me the most." I hugged her and I headed upstairs to get ready for my lunch date with Joanna.

My outfit:

I put my heels on and buttoned up my top.

"How do I look?" I asked her.

"Wow, you look more amazing than I would have in that top. I am glad I put it in your closet."

I laughed as I finished my makeup. I breathed in and out and headed out. The car was going to come and pick me up, my two bodyguards, Liam and his twin Lawrence were ready for me and my lunch date.

"Ready Ms. Johnson?"

"Ready." I sighed and headed into the car.

Liam sat next to me while Lawrence had sat in the front with my driver. He turned onto a street with lots of Cafe's. I wanted to be free, so I decided that after lunch, I was heading off to the nearby Jeep dealership.

"I am going to a jeep dealership after we finish lunch."

"Okay." Lawrence said smiling.

I walked into the cafe and saw her sitting outside with Nick. I walked out and I thought Nick was always so gorgeous and damn she was even more beautiful than I had imagined. Liam and Lawrence had taken a table behind us as I smiled and sat down.

"Hi Joanna!" I said smiling .

She hugged me.

"This is LC, this is my husband Nick."

"Hi , nice to finally meet you LC." He said giving me a hug.

"Likewise." We said smiling.

"Anything you would like to drink?" The waiter asked.

"I would love to have a glass of water please."

"Sure thing." He smiled and headed inside.

"LC, did you take the part here in NYC?"

"Yes I did, I am so nervous." I sighed. "I play a doctor on New Amsterdam, now I have to learn all these words and fancy medical things."

"Trust me, you will kill it." Joanna said with Nick in agreement.

As we got to talking, Ben came up to me.

"Excuse me, may I steal LC?"

"No you may not." Liam said getting in between us.

"I have nothing to say to you Ben. Leave me alone."

"I am not done talking to you !" Both Liam, Lawrence and even Nick got up and in between us.

After Ben had left, I was shaken up by his aggressive and his abusive tone.

"Are you okay?" He asked me.

"Yeah, I am. I just need to find a man and move on."

He looked at his wife and smiled. He got up and made a phone call.

"Thank you for not walking out because of Ben." I said to her.

"Don't let that man define you. He is the one man who should be sorry for cheating on you."

"Thank you for everything, I needed that."

Nick had came back, he gave me a list of men who are single and ready to move on from their girlfriends.

"I don't know, am I ready though?"

"You are." They both said.

I sighed.

After everything I had been through, I needed to know if there was anyone better out there. Was I doing the right thing and finally moving on with my life? I wasn't sure if any of these men were right for me. I knew one thing though, I needed to take things slow and let finding someone happen.

Chapter 4 // I forgot I had dreams, I forgot I had wings, Yeah, I thought I'd miss you but I miss me more

A few weeks had passed, Dany had a lot of things lined up for me. I had gone to NYC for a potential TV role for an upcoming show, but this time I didn't have Ben on my mind. I thought I loved him , but now I had to focus on me. I sat in the airport and I looked at one of the magazines , the one with Ben on the cover, great. I heard my text ring tone, it was Richard, I didn't feel like texting or talking to anyone but Dwayne and Mel.

"Finally, how are you?" Dany asked me sitting down next to me.

"Oh my god, Dany? What are you doing here?"

"Going with you, after everything Ben did to you?"

"I am glad I didn't marry him. I almost did too until that."

She hugged me and told me that NYC will be awesome. Two potential shows for me, one of them was a doctor show, which I was on the fence about and the other one I would play an FBI Agent.

"Thank you Dany." I smiled.

"You smiled?"

"Well , you make me that way sometimes."

"Love you too, now Dwayne knows about Ben and he just went on a huge rant."

I watched the rant, among everyone else in the airport, they all looked at me.

"I think we should get you a security team."

"First Duke beating me up so bad, next Ben cheats on me with a married woman? How is my life this messed up?"

"Things will get better soon , because they have to."

"I hope you're right." I put my head on her shoulder as we got ready to board the plane.

I got a text from Dwayne making sure I am okay. I texted him back and told him I am heading to NYC for a part and I was okay.

"LC, are you okay?" Someone asked me.

"Yeah, I am okay."

"I am a huge fan of yours." She smiled at me.

"Thank you so much, I am sorry I look like a mess."

"No don't worry, you look wonderful."

"Thank you so much." I smiled at her.

I took a photo with her and giving her an autograph. She was more excited than anything in this world.

"Now boarding first class, anyone with medical needs and baby strollers." I smiled and grabbed my backpack.

"Lets go start a new life." Dany said.

"Okay." I smiled.

We boarded and Ben was on the news saying how he couldn't live his life without me, honestly I wasn't happy with him as I thought I was. Dany had sent out a press release stating the fact I was on the mend with a broken heart.

"I am okay, this is the first day of the better life."

"You know it." She smiled and boarded with me on the plane.

The security team she has in place was meeting us there in NYC. My new gig was something I hadn't done before and I was excited. I curled up to one of the blankets they had on the flight  and fell asleep for a while.My memories of Ben cheating were still there, I wondered what went through his god damn ugly mind for him to do this to me?

"You okay?"

"Yeah, I will be." I said breathing in and out. "How long was I out for?"

"4 hours, the entire flight almost."

"Okay well, I need to freshen up and I am still getting a makeover."

"Good idea. I booked the appointment anyways there in NYC."

"Thank you Dany, for everything."

"No need to thank me, even if we aren't family anymore doesn't mean I don't love you like family. Once a sister, always a sister."

 I smiled and we prepared for landing. I couldn't sleep anymore today, I was excited for everything that was about to happen to me. As we landed, I grabbed my bags, and we exited off the plane and walked down to baggage claim.

"This is your security team." She smiled.

"My name is Alex,  this is Jacob and our driver Paul."

"Pleasure to meet you. Thank you for guarding me."

"LC!" I heard someone scream.

I turned around slowly and saw Mel and Jason standing there.

"Mel, Jason! What are you doing here?"

"Well I have a gig here in NYC too so I might as well join you and they approved Mel being a makeup and hair for your show."

"Eek!" I squealed almost tackling them in the middle of the street.

"Ow!" She said laughing.

"Sorry, I got excited." I said to her as they checked in 4 rooms down from me.

After they got settled, I got freshened up.

My outfit:

I smiled and got ready for my makeover and my whole day being free of idiot people who care more about themselves than anything else.

"What are we doing today?" Mel asked sitting down in my room.

"I am going for a hair makeover."

"Ohhh, sounds good." She said.

"Why don't we all go and hit the mall and lunch afterwards?"

"Dany?"

"I am going too, we can all use some fun outings today."

"This is going to be so fun!" Mel said excitedly.

We all headed down to the hotel hair salon, not only was the hair transformation covered by my new show, but they wanted brown instead of blonde, I sometimes think Ben wanted me only because I was blonde.

"Ready?"

"Ready as hell." I smiled.

My hair :

After she put the final touches on it, she smiled and turned me around.

"Wow."

"Holy hell, this is perfect!" Dany said smiling.

"I feel so good, new and I feel like I can move on finally now."

Jason smiled and Dany took a picture of me and sent it to Dwayne.

I got up and looked around, the paps didn't recognize me as I giggled.

"Lets go since they were waiting for blonde haired LC." I said laughing.

All of us piled in the SUV and we headed out to the mall.

"Thank you Dany."

"For?"

"Getting me to agree to this new show."

"Oh of course. You and Mel are family to me, plus Jason is already like family."

I smiled and looked at them, they were in love. I was happy for them, although I wanted someone who was good to me, not what they wanted me to be like Ben was. He was horrible in someways and I was done with that.

"Okay so I will be single for a while."

"Well there is another show you could audition for, its in Chicago."

"Oh what is it?"

"Well its one of the Chicago shows, you'd be perfect for."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I think you'd be fantastic for this."

"So nothing agreed to this here in NYC where Ben currently lives and travels to constantly?"

"No."

"Well, this is good. I think maybe you should do the Chicago one."

"What about you and Jason?"

"We have a lot of jobs here and he is working on set, I think we can always find some way to hang out during the times we see each other."

"Okay. I think change of city and what not would be awesome."

I nodded and told her to send in my audition tapes, hopefully it would happen for me. After Dany worked her magic, I had began to wonder how my life would be like. If all actors I date would be cheaters or how if I dated someone else would it be downhill? The thought of it would always be there in my mind. I had texted Richard and he was more than pissed off when  Ben cheated and broke off their friendship.

"Hey LC, you okay?" Richard asked.

"I am okay." I said sighing. "I miss you, I miss talking to you."

"I know love, don't worry, I can be there in 3 hours if you let me."

"I have to head to Chicago."

"Okay just be safe. I heard that guy from the bar here in London is still looking for you."

"What guy?"

"The one who was obsessed with talking to you?" 

"I have a different hair color and style. I don't think he will even recognize me, hell the paps weren't even on my ass when I walked out of the salon, they were busy waiting for bimbo LC with blonde hair."

I could tell he was laughing.

"Okay love, call me when you get to Chicago."

"Yes daddy." We laughed.

As he hung up , I grabbed my suitcases and headed to Chicago, but a lot of things were changing. I was changing. Was it for the better?

Chapter 3 // Are you ready for it?

I turned to see my sister sitting in one of the chairs, with not only her bags, but she was in tears.

"Sis!" I ran into the elevator and headed back down to the lobby.

"Hey, mind if I hang out with you for the next few days?"

"Are you okay?"

"No." She hugged me so tightly.

"This is my good friend Ben Barnes. This is my sister Mel."

"Nice to meet you."

"Tell me what happened?"

"Well we just were fighting and honestly I couldn't do it anymore."

"I love you sis, I do , but you need to stay single for a bit."

"I do, don't I ?"

"Yeah, plus you can hang out on set with me." I said laughing.

Mel got a room next to mine , thankfully Dany had taken her on and the world knew about her relationship ending with Jason, but they were more blindsided with Kit's wife cheating on him with her best friend Ellie. After everyone said their goodnight ,  Ben had stayed with me, I felt more safe with him than anyone else I have ever been with.

"Thank you Ben."

"For what?"

"Not sure, but for being you and making me feel safe as fuck."

"Well one thing I won't do, and that is get on your bad side. I won't want a hip toss and definitely a broken arm."

"I would never do that to you."

 After an amazing night, Mel had gotten up and joined us on set.

"So in this scene, we are going to have you run from the paps with Richard."

"Okay in this?"

"Yeah, you will act like you're running for your life."

"Okay sounds good. Do I get a jacket too or just nothing while I am running?"

"Sorry, but here. If you want to run into the alley with him to get away from the paps , I think that is better. "

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I think that is better, can't have you sick."

"I agree to that."

I put my sneakers on and had my sweater on, Ben was nearby hanging out with Mel while we filmed. I had a kissing scene with Richard, now this will be awkward.

"This way!" David said pulling me into an alley.

As the paps ran past the alley, we ducked into the alley and David kissed me passionately , it felt like I was kissing my brother. He gave me his jacket as we finished filming the scene.

"That is a wrap! Good job everyone, LC excellent scene as usual."

"Thank you." I headed to the trailer and warmed up so fast.

I sat down after getting into my warm clothes. I started to cry, after everything that happened just now, how could Ben even look at me?

"May I come in?" I heard someone say.

"Yeah, come in." I said.

"You okay?" Ben asked.

"Yeah, how could you even look at me after that?"

"I can look at you and realize you're acting. I like you LC, I want to continue with this, whatever it is, whatever it will be. "

"I don't want to lie to you, after being hurt so bad, I really am not sure where my head is at. I do like you a lot Ben. I really think you're brilliant, you're an amazing person and I am so afraid."

"Don't worry, we can take this as slow as you like."

"Even turtle or snail slow?"

"I can handle that too." He laughed as he hugged me.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For not leaving me when I gave you a thousand reasons to. Most men would scared of me and be turned off by a woman protecting herself and being not afraid of anyone."

"Hey, I would never leave you unless you tell me to."

There was a knock at the door, Mel came in and smiled at me.

"That was kind of intense."

"Thank you, I am so happy you came!"

"Me too."

"Now tell me what he did to you." I demanded.

"I will let you two talk." He kissed me and headed out.

"He knocked me up." She said as I looked at her.

"Wow, didn't expect that."

"You're disappointed in me , aren't you?"

"Well, Dwayne might kill him, but I love you sis. I am so happy you found someone to love and trust. Jason deserves to know the truth."

"I should go back and tell him?"

"Yes you should." I said to her.

"I love you." She hugged me and headed out of the trailer.

Ben came back in and sat next to me.  Richard also came in to let me know that we had one more scene to tape.

"I am so tired." I sighed.

 After the last taping of the scene, today's filming was done and tomorrow was the last of the episodes and season 2 would be officially wrapped up. I was done with UK and now I had to return home to America, but with Ben's new show on BBC One, how would this work?

"How are we going to do this?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well I can't stay here, I don't have a visa to stay."

"I don't know, but we will figure it out."

He kissed my head and headed out of the trailer. I cried and all I wanted to do was run, I hoped this was the right thing to do? Leaving him? I really didn't want to leave him, but it was my only way. I was falling for him so hard and it was scary.

"Are you sure you want to leave him?" Mel asked.

"No. I love him , I fell so hard for him and its scary."

"I really think you should stay."

"I don't have my visa or anything."

She sighed as I shrugged my shoulders.

"Maybe I should leave before this gets too much and we can't see each other."

"If that is what you want?"

"Its the only way." I packed up and didn't even go to the wrap party tomorrow.

I had to leave before I get in too deep. I left him a note that I was heading back to the states and that I loved being with him. Both Mel and I headed back to LA where I live. Heading out of the hotel, we got into the car and for the airport. I was upset, but this was something I had to do. Running away was the only thing I ever knew these days .

"How are you?" Carmella asked me.

"Not good, I really miss him. I have no idea what to do now."

"What do you mean?"

"He was amazing, he was the perfect man and I ran like the coward I am."

She hugged me so tightly as I cried.

 "You will see him again. I know it." She softly said.

We fixed my makeup and I began to get into my ring gear.

My gear:

I sighed and laced up my boots. I grabbed Carmella's arm and hugged her .

"Thank you Mella."

"For what?"

"For always giving the best advice ever."

"We are sisters, by bond." She said. "Now go out there and kick Sasha's stupid ass everywhere."

I nodded and heard my theme music start. I headed out of the curtain and down the ramp, I high fived everyone and did my dance. Sasha came out next with her stupid ass friend Bayley, whom didn't care if I just got back or even if I was hurting, they wanted to hurt anyone in the way.

"Oh so now you want to come back after all the fame sizzled out? You failed and everyone knows you're a stupid ass bitch who can't act."

"Oh yeah? I can't act? Well Sasha, at least I didn't run away like you did after losing a title! You took your ugly ass and your shitty rat tail and ran like a coward you are."

She ran in and both of them attacked me. Sasha pulled me by the hair and flung me into the barricade while the boos ran down. Lacey came running down with Dana to help me.

"Are you okay?"

"No, ow." I said. "Those stupid ass bitches are going to get dropped on their faces."

They helped me up the ramp and into the locker room. I cracked my neck, I walked in to find him sitting there.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him. "How did you get in?"

"Mel and someone named Carmella?"

"Oh my god."

"Listen, I understand why you ran."

"You do?"

"Mel explained it all to me."

I sighed and told him about everything, from my ex to me being scared.

"I want to work this out , I want you, I love you."

"We just met, how do you know this is going to work?"

"Answer me this, do you love me?"

"Yes."

"Do you trust me?"

"Yes."

"Okay then, we will make it work." He kissed me so passionately and I missed everything about him.

After I packed up and changed ,we headed to the hotel, we headed inside and into his hotel room.

"Let me show you how nice it was.." He said ripping my clothes off.

I fell asleep next to the man of my dreams, now he is all mine and just how would this work?
